Too many insert cards again. Mass out put of base cards kills the hobby. Topps needs to go back to a high number or series 3. Anyone else have this issue. Okay 4 boxes no Does anyone know if there is a card ? Bought a bunch of hanger boxes that were clearly rushed to market. A bunch of cards were stuck to each other with ink transfer between them.

Also, anyone notice a good portion of the set is backwards when you collate it? Either the back or front depending on how you want to look at it are upside down when compared to the rest of the set!

So, is there any update as to when Topps will actually release Updates? It was supposed to be Friday and it is now Tuesday and there is nothing on the website. Only Topps knows when they plan to release the product on their website. I pulled some pretty nice cards. I do have a question though. And the ckecklist says there are 48 cards so that makes me think its not the 20th card of the set. Any insight on this?? There are parallels. The rest has to be filled in.

Good to see it finally arrive. Why am I not surprised half the cards are upside down again? Topps and their quality control has become a joke. It looks like a bug QC error to me! I want to pay retail for these products, not inflated eBay prices. Not one Kelenic or India base rc??? No discussion of Topps Update is complete without mentioning the Mike Trout rookie card. It stands as the most iconic card to ever feature in the release. It is also, of course, highly valuable.

But just how much of an outlier is the Mike Trout rookie? Most years have at least one RC of a top-level star. Meanwhile, included Luis Robert and Bo Bichette. So while none of the other cards have reached Mike Trout level, there are multiple worthwhile rookies in most Topps Update sets.

In addition, some of the low pop variations are pretty valuable. We have seen that Topps Update gives you the chance to get some good rookie cards. But how well does the unopened wax hold up?

The hobby boxes vary wildly. So the lower prices for and are not surprising. But since those years are relatively strong, the prices are lower than expected. Like most products, Topps Update is highly dependent on the rookie class. The good news is that every year seems to have at least one, and often two or three, rookies with significant hobby potential.

The bad news is that unless the rookie class is legendary think and , the wax does not hold up remarkably well. So overall, this is more of a rip than a long-term hold.
