Quiet space for reading and homework is provided daily. The Extended Day staff offers a variety of personal experiences, interests and talents, and the ability to convey a sense of caring and respect for children. The staff strives to meet the individual needs, abilities and interests of each child, to contribute to the social growth of the children by fostering cooperative and responsible attitudes, and to create a supportive environment in which children can learn to make good choices and to become considerate and contributing citizens.
Work takes place in a fast paced school environment including offices, auditorium, gym, cafeteria, hallways and outdoors playground and fields. Requires sufficient vision to read printed documents and view detail on a computer screen.
Requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and reaching as well as carrying and occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Tuition payments will be due every Friday for the coming week. Fees can also be paid in advance on a monthly basis. Program participants will not be allowed to carry an outstanding balance. Weekly tuition is not reduced based on frequency of attendance. While this service is designed for families with children in need of everyday after-school supervision, occasional or infrequent stays are welcomed.

Her statement echoes other families' fondness for the teachers, staff, and programming that existed under the Extended Day program. The presentation includes "[i]nterviewing of former Extended Day staff" and "[s]trong, collaborative approach in working with school administration" among the things it seeks from a potential outsider vendor.
A parent survey will be sent out by the School Committee in March , and a selection committee will be formed after that.
